FACILITIES PROVIDED:

PRE-OPERATIVE ANAESTHESIA EVALUATION:

PAC: Patients scheduled for surgical/investigative procedures are screened in the PAC Clinic along with proper counselling of patient regarding plan of anaesthesia and preoperative optimisation for surgeries and follow up for the same. The clinic is functional from 9am to 4pm from Monday to Friday and on Saturday, 9am to 1 pm.

INTRA-OPERATIVE ANAESTHESIA CARE:

 

Anaesthesia services are provided for all kind of Major and Minor surgeries during routine and emergency hours, including the following specialities:

• GENERAL SURGERY- General Surgery, Laparoscopic surgery
• PLASTIC SURGERY-
• ORTHOPAEDICS - 

• Major joint replacements surgeries (hip and knee joint replacement)
• Trauma and allied surgery
• Corrective surgeries

• OBSTETRICS & GYNAECOLOGY- All open and Laparoscopic surgeries
• ENT- All open and Laparoscopic surgeries
• OPHTHALMOLOGY- Monitored anaesthesia care
• DERMATOLOGY- Monitored anaesthesia care
• PAIN CLINIC- Patients suffering from Acute and Chronic pain are referred in this Clinic for treatment. Interventional procedures typically used for chronic back pain include epidural steroid injection.

 

 

POST-OPERATIVE ANAESTHESIA CARE

• PACU is equipped with multi-parameter monitors, patient controlled analgesia (PCA)/opioid infusion pumps, and defibrillator machine for emergency requirement. 

 

 

TYPES OF ANAESTHESIA PROVIDED:

• GENERAL ANAESTHESIA- using different techniques and advanced instruments like Endotracheal tubes, Video laryngoscope, Supraglottic airway devices, Bag and mask, etc.
• REGIONAL ANAESTHESIA: Spinal anaesthesia, Epidural anaesthesia, Peripheral nerve bocks by ultrasonography guided and peripheral nerve stimulator, etc.

 

INFRASTRUCTURE-

• Equipped with 3 modular operation theatres and one emergency operation theatre.

TECHNOLOGY:

• State of the Art Anaesthesia workstations with low flow technique and respiratory gas monitoring, BIS, Entropy NMT and newer ventilation modes.
• Peripheral Nerve Stimulator for nerve blocks.
• Ultrasound technology for regional anaesthesia, nerve blocks and vascular access.
• Gadgets for difficult airway.

Awareness drive for Insured Persons and Hospital Staff-

• On the occasion of World Anaesthesia Day and ESIC Day Celebration, COLS (Compression Only Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) trainings were imparted in October 2021.
• Awareness programme on importance of Pre-Anaesthetic Check-up was carried out in Feb’2022.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) trainings were imparted in October 2022 on occasion of World Anaesthesia Day.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) trainings were imparted in October 2023 on occasion of World Anaesthesia Day.
• And Airway management for Doctors and Nursing officers October 2023 on occasion of World Anaesthesia Day.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) trainings for all hospital staffs I February 2024 on occasion of ESIC Day Celebration.
• Regular training is being arranged for staff and paramedics on the Life Support manoeuvres.
