At ESIC Hospital Bibvewadi, Pune, Medicine Department stands as a pillar of comprehensive healthcare within our 120-bedded facility. Our Medicine Department is dedicated to offer high-quality, patient-centered care to manage a wide range of medical conditions. This department offers a broad spectrum of services, including outpatient consultations for acute and chronic illnesses, inpatient care for serious medical conditions, and emergency services for life threatening medical diseases. We provide specialized clinics for managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory disorders. Additionally, we emphasize preventive care and lifestyle management through expert referrals and counseling. We are committed to enhance patient outcomes and overall well-being. Our team is here to support our IPs with the highest standards of medical excellence and we strive to provide comprehensive and compassionate medical services to meet the diverse needs of our patients.
Our Services
- Outpatient Consultation: We offer expert medical consultations for a variety of conditions during OPD hours, providing personalized treatment plans and follow-up care.
OPD Hours: 9:00 am to 4: 00 pm. (Monday to Friday)
9:00 am to 1:00 pm (Saturday)
- Inpatient Care: Comprehensive care for patients requiring hospitalization, male and female wards for continuous monitoring and treatment by our experienced medical team.
- Chronic Disease Management: Specialized services for managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases. Our goal is to optimize disease management and improve patient quality of life.
- ICU Care: Immediate medical attention for urgent and emergency situations, ensuring rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Specialty Clinics:
- Diabetes Management Clinic: Focused on the comprehensive care of patients with diabetes, including blood glucose monitoring, lifestyle modification, and medication management.
- Hypertension Clinic: Dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of high blood pressure, with a focus on long-term health outcomes.
- Respiratory Disorders Clinic: Provides specialized care for patients with chronic respiratory conditions, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
- Rheumatology Clinic: dedicated to diagnose and treat Autoimmune Rheumatologic conditions and improve quality life in these patients.

- Preventive Services: Emphasis on preventive care through routine screenings, health education, and lifestyle counseling to promote overall wellness and prevent disease. Regular patient education programs are held by the department.
- Integrated Care: Collaboration with other departments and specialties to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and treatment.
- Minor Procedures: Conducting various minor procedures and diagnostic tests on an outpatient basis, including pleural tapping, joint tapping and ascitic tapping, bone marrow studies, CSF studies, ECGs, and basic respiratory tests.
- Lifestyle and Allied Health Services: We work in collaboration with dieticians, physiotherapists, yoga and other allied health professionals like AYUSH to support comprehensive lifestyle management and rehabilitation.
